Part of Speech: Verb

Dictionary Definition: examine or assess (something) formally with the possibility or intention of instituting change if necessary.

Activity: 

1.  Released Exam

Individually, answer questions 1-16.

You will have 15 minutes to complete the released exam from yesterday.

You may record your answers on a sheet of paper or in a Google Doc.

2.  Released Exam Answers

With a partner, check your answers for the exam.

The answers are on page 15 of the PDF. 

For any question you missed, write down the correct answer and why that is the BEST choice for the question in your answer document.  If you do not understand the answer, find a person in the room who answered it correctly so they can explain it. 

3.  Essential Vocabulary 

The list of vocabulary is considered to be essential for all literature classes.
For words that you are unfamiliar with or not extremely confident, create flashcards!
You may make them on note cards or using an online app.

4.  Time Permitting

If you have checked all your answers and are confident on all of the vocabulary, you may work on revisions/missing assignments.  If you are all caught up you may use the remaining time to relax.
