2.  Writing Assignment

  Your Dream

This is your first real piece of writing that will demonstrate your skills as a writer.
In your assignment folder, create a document labeled your dream.
In a half page, double spaced  essay, explain what your dream is.
Consider what your goals and dreams are, and explain what you believe is your American Dream.

3.  Interactive Notebook 

Each of you will receive a copy of the ELA standards for this class.  
For each unit we will unpack the standards to have a better understanding of skills and expectations.
In small groups unpack the standard assigned to you.
