Today you will begin working on an outline for your body paragraphs which will be due on Thursday.
Create a SMART goal for what you would like to accomplish in class today for your outline.

3. Gathering Textual Evidence
Once you have your working thesis, find concrete support for your claim.
You should have a minimum of one quote per text.
Your quotes could be taken from your graphic organizer if you used quotes for your reasons.
4. Outline
You will receive a hard copy of the outline to be completed.
At this point, you only need to focus on the body paragraphs.
Do NOT worry about the introduction and conclusion section.
Evidence should be your point sentence/ your claim.
The details are your examples that support the claim.
The quote should be taken from the literature you are analyzing.
The last two are your elaboration and analysis.
Reminder: All of your ideas should connect to the claim in your thesis statement.
Your outline should be completed by: Thursday, September 20.
